Xiaomi shows a concept phone that can install camera lenses
Xiaomi is trying to make smartphone cameras as good as digital cameras. The company is developing 1 new smartphone.
The phone is the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept Edition, which comes with unique rear cameras and can be equipped with a Leica lens. So you can take high quality photos.
Xiaomi posted a teaser video and image poster on Weibo, and it is a high-capacity phone with a photo focus.
The phone has a 1-inch main camera on the back. The Leica M Series Lens can be mounted on that sensor.
Xiaomi will be the first company to install camera lenses in smartphones. The company says that thanks to the new lens, it will be possible to shoot professional photos from the smartphone.
Although the details of the phone are not yet known, CEO Lee John said that the 12S Ultra Concept will be equipped with two 1-inch sensors, one of which is a standard sensor found in phones, and the other one can be equipped with external lenses.
It is not yet known when the company will sell the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept Edition.
