Xiaomi’s first electric car with self-driving technology could be sold in 2024
Xiaomi may sell the first electric car with self-driving technology in 2024, according to reports.
The 4-door car will come with the company’s own self-driving technology. The company will manufacture the car from its own factory in China.
Previously, Xiaomi had considered partnering with BAIC to produce cars. But since it failed, Xiaomi will produce it by itself.
Xiaomi’s car factory is located in Yizhuang, China, and the car will cost around 150,000 yuan ($21,655).
The self-driving car technology called Xiaomi Pilot will be incorporated into the car, which will be based on LIDAR and Xiaomi’s AT128 Hybrid Solid-state Radar system.
Xiaomi’s driving distance Speed and other specs are not mentioned yet. Once Xiaomi sells the car in China, it is not yet known if it will be sold internationally.
Xiaomi has yet to confirm that it will sell its first electric car in 2024, so we’ll have to wait and see.
